This project aims to improve welding techniques for advanced stainless steels and complex materials. It combines experimental methods and modeling to understand how different elements affect welding processes and to develop new materials with enhanced properties.
The project targets at the critical problems in welding/joining of advanced stainless steels and complex material system through modern experiments, physical modelling and data-informed materials and interruptive processing development.
