STRONG-2020 investigates the strong interaction in particle physics, focusing on fundamental questions about hadrons and quark matter. The project combines experimental and theoretical research to advance understanding and develop innovative detector technologies.
The strong interaction is one of the cornerstones of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics, and its experimental and theoretical study attracts an active community of about 2500 researchers in Europe.
