This project aims to optimize clinical trial designs for Alzheimer's disease by understanding the heterogeneity in patient populations. It will analyze neurobiological factors and their impact on cognitive decline, ultimately improving treatment strategies for early-stage patients.
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) heterogeneity is associated with distinct risk factors, clinical manifestations, rates of cognitive decline, and comorbidities.
However, this population variance is not properly incorporated in clinical trial design, directly hampering successful development of treatments.
