The StrainWISE project develops a wireless sensor platform for aircraft, integrating strain gauges with energy harvesting technology. This system aims to reduce wiring costs and weight while enhancing operational efficiency and reliability in monitoring aircraft components.
Today, wired sensors are used for monitoring aircraft engines, structures, gearboxes, etc.
