This project investigates closed-loop deep brain stimulation techniques for treating Parkinson’s disease. By targeting abnormal neural activity while preserving normal functions, it aims to improve motor control in patients through real-time adjustments based on brain activity.
Parkinson’s disease is a frequent and disabling neurological disorder, which heavily impairs patients’ ability to perform and control movements.
