This project explores how plant stem cells adapt to environmental changes by studying their behavior and genetic responses. Using advanced imaging and genomics, the research aims to understand the mechanisms that allow plants to modulate growth and development in response to varying conditions.
As sessile organisms, plants are exposed to extreme variations in the environment over the course of their lives.
Since plants initiate new organs continuously, they have to modulate the underlying developmental program to cope with this challenge.
