This interdisciplinary project examines how regulations affect the operations of voluntary organizations in democracies. It analyzes the relationship between these organizations and the state, focusing on their autonomy and effectiveness in promoting democratic values.
This interdisciplinary project compares the regulatory frameworks governing membership-based, voluntary organizations (VOs) in long-lived democracies and assesses how these frameworks affect VOs’ operations.
