The StateHorn Project aims to re-evaluate the concept of statehood in the Horn of Africa through an archaeological lens, focusing on the medieval period. It seeks to understand the historical foundations of governance and authority in the region.
The StateHorn Project presents a radically new, archaeology-based approach to one of the key issues in the contemporary world: the nature and characteristics of weak and failed states.
