This project focuses on the process of cell division in fission yeast, particularly how the Cdr2 kinase and its interactions with other proteins regulate the division plane. It aims to uncover the mechanisms that link cell size to division timing and spatial cues.
Cytokinesis is a critical and irreversible step of cell cycle, which eventually separates daughter cells.
