This project develops advanced imaging techniques to analyze spray systems, focusing on droplet dynamics, size, concentration, and temperature mapping. The goal is to enhance understanding of atomization processes, benefiting various industrial applications, especially in combustion.
The multiple scattering of light is a complex phenomenon, commonly encountered but rarely desired.
In imaging it induces strong blurring on the recorded photographs, limiting the range of applicability and accuracy of modern optical instruments. A typical example concerns the laser diagnostics of spray systems.
