The SOPHIE project investigates the links between marine environments and human health in Europe. It aims to develop a strategic research agenda that addresses health risks and benefits associated with oceans, promoting collaboration across disciplines.
A Growing body of evidence indicates that the marine environment and human health are inextricably linked.
These linkages encompass both risks to health and wellbeing, and a range of potential benefits and opportunities.
