SODALES aims to create a wireless access service that integrates various technologies for fixed and mobile communications. It focuses on developing a low-cost interconnection platform that enhances network management and supports high-speed data services.
The SOftware-Defined Access using Low-Energy Subsystems (SODALES) project aims to develop a novel wireless access interconnection service that offers transparent transport services for fixed and mobile services.
This will be achieved by developing an Active Remote Node (ARN) that will offer switching and multiplexing features together with radio, wavelength conversion and legacy systems compatibly. SODALES will also develop a low-cost multi-technology demarcation point.
