SocIoS aims to leverage social networks as a service marketplace by providing tools for users to create and manage services easily. The project focuses on integrating various social network platforms to enhance service development and management through a unified interface.
In SocIoS we intend to use Social Networks as a vehicle towards the implementation of the Internet of Services concept.
Social Networks have the potential to be the ideal future service marketplace because they concentrate four basic characteristics: mass participation of users, overabundance of material to be commercially exploited (i.e. content and social graphs), platforms based on web service technologies and the existence of tools to allow application development.
