This project explores human behavior in conflicts by applying theories from primatology to observations of adults captured on Closed Circuit Television. It aims to bridge ethology and social sciences, enhancing understanding of bystander actions and promoting interdisciplinary research on conflict management.
Primatology provided extensive evidence of non-human primate behavior during conflicts claiming a behavioral universality shared with human primates.
However, little is known about human behavior during conflicts because direct and undisturbed naturalistic observations of humans are rare.
