SMARTChain focuses on enhancing digitalization in the steel industry to reduce carbon emissions and optimize production processes. By improving data sharing and interoperability, the project aims to create a more efficient and sustainable steel value chain.
The steel industry represents an important economic pillar of the European economy, but also 4% of all EU CO2 emissions.
