This project aims to improve the efficiency and safety of the fishing industry by developing a stress monitoring system for fishing gear. It seeks to help small fishing enterprises reduce operational costs and environmental impacts while maintaining fish quality and freshness.
The EU fishing industry is a major source of employment and food providing more than 7.5 million tonnes of fish and employing over 526,000 people of which 88% work within the SME community.
