This project aims to enhance gene targeting techniques in regenerative medicine by designing meganucleases that can create specific DNA breaks. These advancements could lead to new therapies for monogenic diseases and complex disorders like leukemias.
Regenerative medicine using gene targeting by homologous recombination is one of the most powerful methods to achieve precise genome modifications.
