SMARTBOX is developing a computational platform to enhance the engineering of oxidative enzymes, significantly reducing the time and cost of enzyme development. This technology aims to improve the production of biobased chemicals from biomass, promoting sustainability in biorefineries.
Although they have the potential to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of biorefineries, oxidative enzymes have not experienced a complete breakthrough yet in the biobased industries.
