This project aims to develop a mobile navigation system for public transport, allowing passengers to navigate flexibly between different vehicles. It will analyze existing studies and user needs to create a sustainable application that enhances public transport usability across Europe.
The idea of the proposal is, to develop a real public transport navigation system based on mobile devices, that give passengers the possibility to act as they are used to do it with common navigation systems in their cars.
They will be able to get into a vehicle and enter the destination into the system, jump off and on as often as they like to - the system will always guide them to the destination.
Passengers are not longer fixed on a printout of the route.
