This project studies the early stages of gene transcription at the molecular level using advanced fluorescence techniques. It aims to capture the dynamics of RNA polymerase during transcription, providing insights that could enhance understanding of genetic processes in various organisms, including humans.
The overall objective of this project is to study the initial phase of gene-transcription – i.e., the transformation of genetic information from DNA to RNA – at the level of individual molecules.
