This project investigates the political and health policy responses to slow-onset disasters, specifically antimicrobial resistance and Ebola. It aims to develop theoretical frameworks to better understand these disasters and inform precautionary planning and policy.
Disasters differ markedly in their speed and pattern of manifestation, which in turn greatly affects how researchers as well asauthorities interpret and respond to them.
