SimBionics aims to develop advanced control interfaces for robotic lower limb prostheses, integrating neuromechanical modeling and artificial sensory feedback. The project focuses on training early-stage researchers to bridge academic research, clinical assessment, and market needs in prosthetic technology.
Robotic lower limb prostheses, or bionic legs, have underwent tremendous mechatronic advances in the past decade.
