SHiELD aims to facilitate the secure exchange of health data across Europe, addressing regulatory and security challenges. The project will develop tools and frameworks to ensure compliance with data protection laws, enabling better healthcare access for mobile citizens and promoting commercial uses of health data.
SHiELD will unlock the value of health data to European citizens and businesses by overcoming security and regulatory challenges that today prevent this data being exchanged with those who need it.
