This project aims to investigate the fusion machinery of human cytomegalovirus, a significant pathogen linked to severe health issues. By studying the structural components of the virus, the project seeks to identify new targets for therapeutic intervention against HCMV infections.
Membrane-bound proteins play several important roles in biological processes and viral infections make no exception.
