This project explores string theory as a unified framework for understanding fundamental physics. It focuses on both perturbative and non-perturbative aspects, investigating analytical solutions in string field theories, particularly for open strings and type-II string theories using pure-spinor formalism.
String theory is currently the most promising candidate for a unified theory of nature.
It is very important to understand both perturbative and non-perturbative aspects of the theory.
String field theory is a natural framework for defining string theory non-perturbatively.
Following the recent analytic progress in this field, I propose to investigate analytical solutions representing lumps and multiple D-branes in open (bosonic and supersymmetric) string field theories.
