The SeRoN project focuses on assessing the vulnerability of critical road infrastructures, particularly bridges and tunnels, to potential terrorist attacks. It aims to develop methodologies for evaluating the economic impacts and effectiveness of security measures to enhance the resilience of transport networks.
The European road network, particularly TERN highways and TENT projects, is of major importance for the European economy and the mobility of the European citizens. A major task of highway owners and operators is to ensure a high availability of all important links.
