The SENSORFISH project focuses on enhancing fish farming through intelligent monitoring systems that optimize water quality and increase yields. It promotes research collaboration between Europe, China, and the US to develop smart sensor technologies and management systems for sustainable aquaculture.
Fish farming is likely to be the greatest source of increased fish production, and its share in total food fish supply by 2030 is estimated almost equal to the food fish supply from capture fisheries.
