This project aims to enhance teacher selection by developing a scientifically grounded approach that assesses non-cognitive traits through situational judgment tests. By improving the selection process, it seeks to elevate the quality of teacher training candidates and ultimately improve educational outcomes.
The most effective way of improving education systems is to improve the quality of teachers; a fundamental step to improve the quality of teachers is to select candidates for training who possess the 'soft skills' or non-cognitive traits and attributes that are related to effective teaching.
