This project aims to enhance the stability and performance of catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction, crucial for hydrogen production. By developing core-shell heterostructure catalysts with atomic precision, it seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical catalyst design and practical applications.
Major efforts in recent years to develop catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) have shown that perovskites and spinels have significant catalytic activity, making them a promising materials class for water-splitting for hydrogen production.
