The SCENIC project focuses on enhancing sound processing applications by utilizing environmental acoustic responses. It aims to develop methodologies that allow acoustic systems to understand their surroundings and improve navigational tasks through advanced processing techniques.
Advanced sound processing applications, particularly those based on array processing, are critically sensitive to the environment's acoustic response because their design does not account for the complex propagation phenomena that cause it.
