This research investigates how specific neural mechanisms in the fruit fly Drosophila control behavior through memory and internal states. By using advanced genetic tools, the project aims to uncover how distinct neurons influence reward learning and behavior modification.
Directed behavior emerges from neural integration of sensory stimuli, memory of prior experience andinternal states.
