The SCATh project aims to enhance patient safety in minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures by providing interventionalists with advanced visual and tactile tools. It integrates patient-specific models and real-time data from sensors to improve catheter guidance, reducing risks associated with traditional methods.
Modern medicine is irreversibly shifting towards less invasive surgical procedures.
Conventional open surgery approaches are systematically being replaced by interventions that reduce access trauma and thereby minimise pain and hospitalisation periods for patients.
