This project explores auditory perception using virtual reality and gamification to create tools for assessing and enhancing hearing abilities. It aims to develop models that improve understanding of auditory tasks and provide training for individuals with normal and impaired hearing.
Auditory perception can be both challenging and rewarding.
In a noisy crowded restaurant, listeners must quickly recalibrate their perception to the acoustic characteristics of the room and constantly switch attention to new speakers throughout a conversation.
