The project focuses on developing safety assessment methodologies for advanced nuclear reactors, including sodium, lead, and gas-cooled fast reactors. It aims to enhance safety standards by collaborating with European safety experts and identifying key safety issues to guide future research and development.
The European Sustainable Nuclear Industrial Initiative was launched in November 2010 to anticipate the development a fleet of fast reactors with closed cycle.
