Celignis is developing a process to create biodegradable hydrogels from plant biomass for use in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. The SAPHIRE project focuses on using enzymes to convert agricultural residues into high-quality, plant-based alternatives to synthetic hydrogels.
Celignis is an SME service provider focused on the compositional analysis of biomass for advanced biofuels and biorefinery applications.
We are also active in several research projects related to the analysis, pre-treatment, and valorisation of biomass.
