SAFphyre aims to produce sustainable aviation fuel using Solid Oxide Electrolysis and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The project focuses on optimizing system integration and efficiency to meet the demand for low-carbon fuels while addressing technical challenges in materials and processes.
Solid oxide electrolysis (SOE) is a promising technology for producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) via Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis.
Despite its advantages, such as high efficiency and waste heat utilization, challenges remain in scaling up SOE/FT integration.
