IDP is advancing its Variable Optical Path Spectroscopy technology to detect aflatoxins in milk, enhancing food safety. The SAFEMILK project aims to develop a fast, accurate, and cost-effective system for monitoring aflatoxin levels, significantly reducing health risks associated with contaminated dairy products.
IDP is an Italian SME focused on industrial automation and measurements. IDP owns a unique and proprietary Variable Optical Path Spectroscopy technology, VOPS, that is currently used in in-line equipment to monitor the concentration of chemicals in processing fluids. IDP is exploring new ways how to adapt this technology for the Food Industry, specifically for detecting small concentrations of aflatoxins in milk batches before transportation and processing.
