This project explores the potential of sustainable silk materials for various applications, emphasizing their economic viability and environmental benefits. By leveraging novel silk types and lifecycle analysis, the project aims to innovate in the silk industry and reduce reliance on traditional sources.
Silks are fully sustainable, non-perishable and climate-smart agricultural products.
They are uniquely suited for areas of low-wage/high-unemployment and fragile ecosystems sensitive about water and soil.
