This project studies small-scale atmospheric phenomena in complex terrains, such as gap flows and mountain waves, using high-resolution airborne observations and numerical simulations. The aim is to enhance understanding of these processes to improve weather prediction accuracy in mountainous areas.
This is a proposal for a reintegration activity at the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics at the University of Vienna.
