This project investigates the role of activin A in skin cancer development, focusing on its pro-tumourigenic effects mediated by mast cells and other stromal cells. By understanding these mechanisms, the research aims to identify potential therapeutic targets for skin cancer treatment.
The increase in skin cancer incidence in the past years has made the search for new therapeutic approaches to prevent or cure these malignancies a major research challenge.
