This project focuses on advancing active flow control systems to enhance the performance of high-lift devices in aviation. It aims to improve the robustness of fluidic actuators through redesign and rigorous testing, targeting a higher technology readiness level for practical applications.
Active flow control systems are being researched, as they might allow to reduce the size, weight, and complexity of high-lift devices.
Such active flow control systems, however, require effective, efficient, and reliable flow control actuators. TUB has contributed to developing these actuator technologies in JTI-SFWA projects DT-FA-AFC and FloCoSys.
