This project analyzes the intersection of international education and nationalism in post-Ottoman Turkey, focusing on Robert College. It investigates how the institution's ideals of internationalism conflicted with emerging nationalistic sentiments during the early Kemalist era.
The purpose of this project is to analyze the conflicts and strategies of adjustment emanating from the encounter of international education, seeking to overcome national bias, with nation building efforts in post-Ottoman Turkey.
