This project investigates the impacts of climate change on coastal areas, focusing on economic and ecological vulnerabilities. It aims to develop adaptive management strategies and assess the costs of climate scenarios for coastal systems.
Coastal areas concentrate vulnerability to climate change due to high levels of population, economic activity and ecological values.
Because of that RISES-AM- addresses the economy-wide impacts of coastal systems to various types of high-end climatic scenarios (including marine and riverine variables).
