This project aims to improve the understanding of fracture processes in advanced materials, particularly composites. It focuses on interface reliability and the development of new parameters to characterize crack initiation and propagation under stress.
The design and structural reliability of advanced materials, like composites or functionally graded, require a better understanding of how the fracture process initiates and progresses to final failure.
