The REWIND project focuses on analyzing the processing history of multimedia objects by detecting unique characteristics left by various transformations. By leveraging signal processing, machine learning, and information theory, it aims to reconstruct the audio-visual content's past without needing the original files.
With the rapid proliferation of inexpensive acquisition and storage devices multimedia objects can be easily created, stored, transmitted, modified and tampered with by anyone.
