REUSE develops a novel carbon dioxide capture and utilization system using a Rotating Packed Bed and immobilized enzymes. The project aims to convert captured CO2 into useful chemicals like carbon monoxide and formic acid through advanced catalytic processes.
REUSE proposes the development of an advanced CO2 capture and utilization concept where a Rotating Packed Bed (RPB) is used that employs immobilized Carbonic Anhydrase (CA) in combination with advanced solvents, while the captured CO2 is transformed into carbon monoxide (CO) or formic acid (FA) in a CO2 reduction (CO2R) cell.
