This project investigates the impact of new regulations on the retreaded tyre industry, focusing on developing a methodology for classifying retreaded truck tyres to meet future safety and environmental standards.
In this project is considered the possible impact of new European regulations–regarding new tyres safety and environmental performances–on the SMEs working with retreaded tyres.
One expected consequence of these on new tyres will be the slow decreasing of the interest on retreaded tyres in the market.
