This project investigates the historical use of living resources in Russia and the Soviet Union, focusing on societal attitudes and knowledge exchanges with Europe. It employs environmental history methods to analyze how these interactions shaped Russia's development from the 18th century to the mid-20th century.
This interdisciplinary project aims to provide new historical knowledge about both the patterns of use of living resources in Russia and the Soviet Union, and the exchange of resource use information with Europe.
