This project explores the concept of tolerance in relation to spatial policies, aiming to enhance social cohesion in culturally diverse societies. It examines how respect for individuals can inform better public space allocation for minority groups, addressing the challenges faced during implementation.
Tolerance has been increasingly invoked as the inspiring ideal of a number of social policies in European democracies.
Appeals to tolerance have animated especially the political debates on those policies addressed to accommodate minorities’ requests.
