This project focuses on developing a new method for delivering messenger RNA to immune cells using apolipoprotein nanoparticles. By creating a cost-effective in vivo CAR T cell therapy, it aims to expand cancer treatment options beyond hematological malignancies and improve accessibility for various cancer types.
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy has revolutionized cancer treatment.
Nevertheless, CAR T cell therapy is clinically limited to hematological malignancies and hampered by its complex and costly ex vivo manufacturing procedure.
To render this treatment cost-effective and available for diverse cancer types, in vivo CAR immune cell therapy strategies must be developed.
